SASSA is inviting suitably qualified candidates to apply for the position of Social Grant Administrator. The successful candidate will support the administration and processing of social grant applications at a local office.

About the Position

The Social Grant Administrator will assist applicants throughout the grant application process, verify and capture information, maintain accurate records, and provide professional customer service. The position also involves general administrative duties and quality checks to ensure applications are handled correctly and in accordance with applicable requirements.

Minimum Requirements

  • Matric / Senior Certificate or an equivalent qualification at NQF Level 4.

  • A higher qualification at NQF Level 6 may be required for the advertised position.

  • A valid driver’s licence may be an advantage.

  • Previous administrative or clerical experience will be beneficial.

Main Duties

The successful candidate may be responsible for:

  • Administering social grant services at the local office.

  • Receiving, screening and processing grant applications.

  • Capturing applicant information accurately on the relevant system.

  • Assisting applicants and providing professional customer service.

  • Managing grant-related documents and general administrative duties.

  • Conducting quality checks on applications.

  • Performing duties in accordance with applicable legislation and financial management requirements.

Important Information for Applicants
