Job Description:
Eskom is currently seeking highly motivated and skilled individuals to join our team as Technical Officials at our various power stations and offices. As a Technical Official, you will play a crucial role in supporting artisans and engineers in their day-to-day tasks, as well as undertaking technical responsibilities within the power stations.
Duties AND Responsibilities:
-Assist artisans and engineers in their daily tasks, including maintenance, repairs, and installations.
-Perform technical duties as assigned, ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards.
-Follow instructions and guidelines provided by supervisors to carry out assigned tasks efficiently.
-Conduct inspections and troubleshoot technical issues, reporting findings to the relevant personnel.
-Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean and organized manner.
-Collaborate with team members to ensure effective coordination and completion of projects.
-Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
Minimum Requirements:
-Minimum NQF level 4 qualification is required, with preference given to candidates with a grade 12 qualification.
-Demonstrated technical aptitude and ability to learn on the job.
-Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
-Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
-Willingness to work in a physically demanding environment.
-Previous experience in a technical role (preferred but not essential).
-Valid driver’s license (preferred).
