REQUIREMENTS:
A grade 12 is necessary, but no prior experience is needed.
Beneficial: Having a three-year degree (NQF 6 or above) will be beneficial.
Knowledge:
It would be beneficial to have a working knowledge of the judicial system and how commissions or tribunals operate. Proficiency & Abilities: diplomatic and interpersonal abilities. proficiency with computers. analytical abilities. ability to make decisions. motivational abilities. Presentation abilities. abilities in report writing and communication. focus on customer service. self-control. imaginative thinking. cooperation. adaptable. self-driven. familiarity with the pertinent laws and regulations concerning the judicial environment. understanding of secretarial tasks.
Duties:
Keeping the complaints register up to date is one of my duties. Take complaints against judges and record them. Support the Judicial Conduct Committee (JCC) with administrative services. Inform the appellant and respondent of the appeal’s decision. Get letters on lawsuits brought against the Judicial Service Commission. Assist the JSC, JCC, and JCT logistically. Prepare the VA forms for the Committee members’ lodging and travel needs.
