About the Opportunity
Nike South Africa is looking for a Retail Store Associate, known internally as an “Athlete,” to join its Kenilworth store in Cape Town.
This role is suited for energetic and customer-oriented individuals who are passionate about sportswear, fashion, and retail. Successful candidates will help customers, support daily store operations, and contribute to creating an excellent in-store shopping experience.
Key Duties
- Deliver outstanding customer service and assist shoppers with product choices.
- Share product knowledge and recommend suitable Nike products and services.
- Handle customer payments and operate the till accurately.
- Assist with stock receiving, unpacking, replenishment, and organisation.
- Maintain visual merchandising and store presentation standards.
- Support stockroom, shipping, and receiving duties when required.
- Ensure cleanliness and housekeeping standards are consistently maintained.
- Participate in store events and team activities.
- Work closely with colleagues to meet store targets and goals.
- Follow company procedures, policies, and loss prevention guidelines.
Minimum Requirements
- Applicants must be at least 18 years old.
- Grade 12 / Matric certificate required.
- Must be available to work at least 24 hours per week.
- Flexible to work shifts, weekends, public holidays, and evenings.
- Strong communication and customer service abilities.
- Passion for retail, sportswear, and customer experience.
- Ability to perform well in a fast-paced environment.
- Positive mindset and ability to work well within a team.
- Physically capable of standing for long periods and performing store-related physical tasks.
- Willingness to learn about Nike products and technologies.
