Overview

A Forklift Driver is responsible for operating forklifts and other lifting equipment to move, load, unload, and organise stock safely within warehouses, factories, retail stores, and distribution centres.

This role is ideal for individuals who are safety-conscious, physically fit, and able to work in fast-paced environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts safely to move stock and materials.
• Load and unload trucks, containers, and deliveries.
• Transport stock between storage areas and workstations.
• Assist with stock packing, stacking, and organisation.
• Conduct routine forklift inspections and report faults.
• Follow warehouse safety rules and company procedures.
• Assist with stock counts and inventory checks.
• Keep work areas clean and organised.

Requirements & Skills

• Grade 10 or Grade 12 certificate.
• Valid forklift licence/certification required.
• Previous warehouse or forklift operating experience is advantageous.
• Good attention to detail and safety awareness.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Physically fit and able to lift heavy items when necessary.
• Good teamwork and communication skills.
