We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Scaffold Hand to support scaffolders with the safe assembly, dismantling, and maintenance of scaffolding systems on construction and industrial sites. This role involves transporting scaffolding materials, maintaining equipment, assisting with inspections, and ensuring work areas remain clean and compliant with health and safety regulations.

The ideal candidate is physically fit, comfortable working at heights, follows instructions well, and is committed to maintaining a safe working environment.


Key Duties and Responsibilities

As a Scaffold Hand, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Assist scaffolders with the safe erection and dismantling of scaffolding structures.

  • Load, unload, move, and organize scaffolding materials and equipment on-site.

  • Clean, inspect, and maintain scaffolding tools and equipment to ensure they remain in good working condition.

  • Pass tools, materials, and components to scaffolders during assembly and dismantling activities.

  • Help identify damaged or defective scaffolding parts and report them to the supervisor.

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work environment.

  • Follow all company health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures.

  • Wear the required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.

  • Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisors or site management.


Minimum Requirements

Applicants should meet the following qualifications:

  • Grade 10 or Grade 12 qualification (Grade 12 preferred).

  • Up to one year of experience in construction, scaffolding, or a similar manual labor environment.

  • Medically fit to perform physically demanding tasks and work safely at heights.

  • Working at Heights Certificate is considered an advantage.

  • Strong physical fitness with the ability to lift and carry heavy materials.

  • Ability to follow instructions and comply with workplace safety procedures.

  • Comfortable working at elevated heights without fear.
