Job Description:
Rand Water is seeking dedicated individuals to join our team as Sewer Pump Operators. As a Sewer Pump Operator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of sewer pump stations, anyone who thinks they meet the minimum requirements stated below is welcome to apply. Your primary responsibilities will include:
-Receiving handover from the previous shift.
-Signing the Pump Station Register.
-Recording all pump readings, including the Run Hour Meter.
-Recording sump level readings.
-Checking the positions of inlet and outlet valves, opening the required valves, and closing those that need to be closed.
-Conducting daily inspections of the pump station.
-Cleaning screens as and when required.
-Cleaning the Pump Station.
-Recording and reporting any faulty equipment.
-Monitoring the running pumps.
Requirements:
-Grade 12 qualification.
-Physically and medically fit.
No prior experience is required for this position. We encourage individuals with a passion for learning and a strong work ethic to apply. Training will be provided to successful candidates.
