Auto Pedigree, one of South Africa’s most trusted pre-owned vehicle retailers, is seeking to appoint two Driver/Cleaners for its branches in Kuruman and East London.
This opportunity is suitable for dependable and customer-focused individuals who possess driving experience and take pride in maintaining vehicles to high standards. Successful candidates will assist with vehicle transportation, cleaning, inspections, and various operational support duties.
About the Role
As a Driver/Cleaner, you will be responsible for ensuring vehicles are delivered, collected, cleaned, and maintained according to company standards. The role also requires regular interaction with customers, suppliers, and business partners, making professionalism and excellent customer service essential.
You will play an important role in supporting dealership operations while helping maintain the company’s reputation for quality service.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely transport and collect vehicles, customers, documentation, and company goods.
- Clean vehicle interiors and exteriors to ensure showroom-quality presentation.
- Conduct vehicle inspections and report defects, damages, or irregularities.
- Deliver and collect documents from customers, suppliers, financial institutions, and other stakeholders.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation within company premises.
- Handle company vehicles responsibly and in accordance with company policies.
- Protect company assets and uphold ethical business standards.
- Assist with operational and administrative support duties when required.
- Deliver excellent customer service during all customer interactions.
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 (Matric) certificate.
- Minimum of 2 years’ driving or transport-related experience.
- Valid Code 08 driver’s licence with no endorsements.
- Own reliable transport.
- Basic computer literacy.
- Good English communication skills.
- Ability to read maps and follow directions accurately.
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Honest, dependable, and responsible character.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Good organisational and time-management skills.
