Driver Duties and Responsibilities
As a Driver (Light Duty Vehicle), your responsibilities will include:

Planning and scheduling transport according to operational requirements.

Safely transporting staff, patients, authorised passengers, equipment, and official goods.

Loading and offloading equipment and supplies when required.
-
Completing vehicle logbooks and maintaining accurate transport records.
-
Conducting daily vehicle inspections and reporting mechanical faults promptly.
-
Assisting the Transport Officer with vehicle maintenance and cleanliness.
-
Preparing transport-related reports as requested.
-
Following all Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) regulations.

Ensuring government vehicles are used responsibly and in accordance with departmental policies.
Minimum Requirements
To qualify for this position, applicants must have:

Basic literacy and numeracy skills.

A valid Code B/EB driver’s licence.

A valid Professional Driving Permit (PrDP/PDP).

Relevant driving experience.

A responsible driving record with sober habits.

Willingness to work irregular hours when operationally required.
