Key Responsibilities

As a Grade C Security Officer, you will be responsible for:

• Protecting employees, visitors, company assets, vehicles, and property.

• Monitoring and controlling access to buildings and premises.

• Conducting routine security patrols.

• Operating CCTV systems, alarms, and other security equipment.

• Responding quickly to emergencies, incidents, alarms, and security breaches.

• Preparing accurate incident, occurrence, and observation reports.

• Enforcing site security procedures and company policies.

• Assisting with emergency evacuations and fire prevention procedures.

• Inspecting security equipment and reporting faults.

• Providing professional customer service to staff, contractors, and visitors.

• Identifying security risks and reporting suspicious activities.

Minimum Requirements

Applicants must meet the following requirements:

• Grade 12 (Matric).

• Valid PSIRA Grade C Registration Certificate.

• Previous security industry experience.

• Knowledge of CCTV systems, access control, and alarm systems.

• Physically fit and willing to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.

• A valid driver’s licence will be advantageous.

• Firearm competency for business purposes may be required depending on the site.
