Key Responsibilities
As a Cashier, your daily duties will include:
- Greeting customers in a friendly and professional manner.
- Taking customer orders accurately at the counter, collection point, or drive-thru.
- Processing cash and card transactions using the POS system.
- Serving food and beverages correctly and efficiently.
- Keeping service counters, dining areas, and workstations clean.
- Restocking packaging, sauces, cups, napkins, and other service supplies.
- Following company food safety and hygiene procedures.
- Working closely with kitchen staff to ensure orders are prepared on time.
- Assisting customers with basic enquiries and escalating complex issues when necessary.
- Supporting the restaurant team with general operational duties.
Minimum Requirements
To qualify for these positions, applicants should have:
- Grade 12 (Matric), which is advantageous.
- Previous experience as a cashier or in the restaurant industry (preferred).
- Basic knowledge of cash handling and POS systems.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- The ability to work shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
