Bokomo Oats is currently recruiting three (3) permanent Packers to join its Packing Department at its manufacturing facility in Epping, Cape Town. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with packing or manufacturing experience who are looking to build a long-term career in South Africa’s fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) industry.
Reporting to the Manufacturing Coordinator, successful candidates will be responsible for ensuring products are packed accurately, meet the company’s quality standards, and are safely prepared for distribution.

About the Position
As a Packer at Bokomo Oats, you will play an important role in the production process by ensuring finished products are packed correctly, labelled accurately, and prepared for storage and distribution. The role requires attention to detail, teamwork, and a commitment to maintaining high food quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidates will be responsible for:
- Operating and inspecting packing equipment before production begins.
- Ensuring packed products meet company quality and presentation standards.
- Inspecting pallets before use to ensure they are suitable for production.
- Verifying product weights and recording them accurately.
- Applying the correct product barcodes to all packaged goods.
- Wrapping finished products securely and neatly.
- Stacking pallets safely for storage and transportation.
- Inspecting wrapped products to ensure packaging integrity.
- Following all workplace health and safety procedures within the production environment.
Minimum Requirements
Applicants should meet the following requirements:
- Grade 12 (Matric) or an NQF Level 4 qualification.
- At least 12 months of experience in a similar packing or manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of workplace health and safety standards.
- Willingness to work in a fast-paced manufacturing and production environment.
