The Department of Public Works and Infrastructure is recruiting nine Cleaners to work at various Magistrate Courts across the North West and Limpopo Provinces. Main Responsibilities
Building Cleaning
• Empty waste bins and dispose of refuse appropriately.
• Dust and polish furniture and office equipment.
• Clean windows, walls, and other surfaces.
• Wash and maintain floors.
• Vacuum carpets and floor coverings.
• Clean court offices, courtrooms, and holding cells.

Toilet and Ablution Cleaning
• Thoroughly clean and sanitize toilets and bathroom facilities.
• Refill toilet paper dispensers when necessary.
• Replenish hand soap dispensers.
• Wash and disinfect floors to maintain hygiene standards.

Kitchen Maintenance
• Clean kitchen floors and work areas.
• Wash and store kitchen utensils properly.
• Assist with tea and coffee preparation during meetings and official events.

Safety and General Support Duties
• Report maintenance issues and defects to the relevant personnel.
• Notify staff of slippery floors and other potential hazards.
• Report damaged locks, faulty lights, and other safety concerns.
• Assist with receiving and organizing cleaning materials and supplies.
• Support stock management and monitoring of cleaning products.

Minimum Requirements
Educational Requirements
• Grade 9, ABET Level 4, or an equivalent qualification.
Experience
• No previous work experience is required.

• Good interpersonal and teamwork skills.
• Basic communication abilities.
• Basic reading and writing skills.
