About the Position

BCE FoodService Equipment is currently seeking a dedicated and dependable General Cleaner to join its Head Office team in Roodepoort. The successful applicant will play an important role in maintaining a clean, hygienic, and safe working environment throughout the company’s offices, warehouses, showrooms, and other operational areas.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

• Clean offices, showrooms, warehouses, and other allocated workspaces.

• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and polish floors to maintain cleanliness.

• Empty rubbish bins and ensure proper waste disposal.

• Clean carpets and remove stains when necessary.

• Operate industrial cleaning machines safely after receiving the required training.

• Dust and sanitize furniture, cupboards, shelves, windowsills, and various surfaces.

• Clean and maintain restrooms, wash basins, and drinking fountains.

• Refill cleaning products and hygiene supplies as needed.

• Ensure warehouse storage and racking areas remain neat and clean.

• Report any maintenance issues or cleaning concerns to management.

• Perform additional cleaning-related tasks when requested.

Minimum Requirements

• Grade 12 (Matric) or an equivalent qualification.

• Previous experience in a cleaning role or a similar environment.

• Ability to operate industrial cleaning equipment.

• Basic knowledge of health and safety procedures or first aid will be advantageous.

• Flexibility to work overtime when required.
