🔹 ABOUT THE ROLE
The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting meat products, supplies, and stock safely while supporting daily butchery and warehouse operations.
This role is ideal for experienced drivers who are comfortable working in FMCG, retail, food distribution, or cold-storage environments.
🔹 KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
🚚 Driving & Distribution
✅ Transport meat products, supplies, and packaging safely
✅ Assist with loading and off-loading stock
✅ Follow efficient delivery routes
✅ Maintain hygiene and cold-chain standards during transport
🚗 Vehicle Care & Maintenance
✅ Conduct daily vehicle inspections
✅ Check refrigeration systems where required
✅ Maintain vehicle cleanliness and sanitation
✅ Complete logbooks and fuel records
✅ Report breakdowns or vehicle issues immediately
🥩 Butchery Support Duties
✅ Assist with packing and labelling products
✅ Support cleaning of equipment and workspaces
✅ Follow FIFO stock rotation procedures
✅ Remove waste according to hygiene standards
✅ Wear PPE and follow safety procedures at all times
⚠ Health & Safety Compliance
✅ Follow Road Traffic Act and OHS regulations
✅ Maintain food safety and hygiene standards
✅ Report hazards and contamination risks immediately
🔹 REQUIREMENTS & SKILLS
✔ Valid Code 8 or Code 10 Driver’s Licence
✔ PDP is advantageous
✔ 2–5 years driving experience
✔ FMCG, food, or retail driving experience preferred
✔ Clear criminal and driving record
✔ Physically fit and able to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays
✔ Strong teamwork and communication skills
✔ Attention to hygiene and safety standards
✔ Ability to work in refrigerated/cold-storage environments
