Overview

Caxton & CTP Publishers and Printers is hiring Packers for its production facility in Epping, Cape Town.

This role focuses on packing, sorting, and preparing products according to company standards while maintaining quality and efficiency in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Pack products according to required standards
• Ensure items are correctly labelled and coded
• Inspect products for any defects before packaging
• Assist machine operators when needed
• Keep the work area clean and organised
• Handle minor equipment issues and clear small jams safely
• Support stock control and inventory processes
• Follow all health and safety procedures
• Meet daily production targets and deadlines
• Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors

Requirements

• Minimum Grade 10 (Grade 12 is an advantage)
• Previous experience in a production or manufacturing environment (preferred)
• Physically fit and able to lift heavy items
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced setting
• Basic numeracy skills
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Reliable with a strong work ethic
• Willing to work shifts and overtime
