Brights Hardware is recruiting a permanent Code 10 Driver to join its Building Department in Bellville (Boston), Western Cape. This opportunity is ideal for experienced drivers with a valid Code 10 Driver’s Licence and Professional Driving Permit (PrDP) who are passionate about safe deliveries, excellent customer service, and maintaining high operational standards.

Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Delivering customer orders safely, accurately, and on time.
- Providing professional and friendly customer service during every delivery.
- Completing daily trip sheets, including departure and arrival times, mileage, and other required records.
- Conducting daily pre-trip vehicle inspections and reporting any defects immediately.
- Ensuring truck assistants accompany delivery vehicles where required.
- Planning efficient delivery routes to maximise productivity.
- Verifying that all stock is loaded with the correct delivery documentation.
- Recording transfer documentation accurately in the vehicle logbook.
- Obtaining signatures from receiving branches for transferred stock.
- Ensuring all goods are delivered in excellent condition.
- Submitting weekly vehicle and performance reports to the supervisor.
- Reporting delivery delays, vehicle issues, and operational challenges promptly.
- Assisting with stocktakes when required.
- Performing any additional duties assigned by management.
Minimum Requirements
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Grade 12 (Matric) or three completed Intercept courses equivalent to 120 credits.
- Candidates without Matric may also be considered if they possess a valid driver’s licence and at least three years of driving experience.
- Valid Code 10 Driver’s Licence (higher licence codes will be advantageous).
- Valid Professional Driving Permit (PrDP) for goods and passengers.
- Minimum of three years’ professional driving experience.
- Good understanding of loading, securing, and transporting goods safely.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure.
