Brights Hardware is hiring five (5) permanent General Assistants to join its Drive Thru Yard Departments in Stonewood, Brackenfell, and Blackheath, Western Cape. Successful candidates will assist with loading customer purchases, maintaining stock accuracy, supporting inventory control, and ensuring the yard remains clean, organised, and safe. Key Responsibilities

As a General Assistant, your responsibilities will include:

• Loading customer vehicles, delivery trucks, and transfer vehicles accurately and efficiently.

• Stacking and organising stock safely within the Drive Thru Yard.

• Assisting with preparing stock for transfers between branches.

• Reporting damaged stock, shortages, and breakages to management.

• Bagging sand, stone, and other bulk materials.

• Participating in stock counts and inventory control activities.

• Maintaining a clean, organised, and safe work environment.

• Assisting customers with product enquiries and providing excellent customer service.

• Following all company health and safety policies and procedures.

• Performing additional duties assigned by supervisors or management.

Minimum Requirements

Applicants should meet the following requirements:

• Grade 12 (Matric) or an equivalent qualification.

• Previous experience in a similar retail, warehouse, or yard environment will be advantageous.

• Ability to count and handle stock accurately.

• Physically fit and capable of performing manual labour.

• Good verbal communication skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Willingness to work in a busy outdoor retail environment.
