Fidelity Services Group is inviting applications for a permanent Hotel Security Officer position based in Cape Town, Western Cape. This opportunity is ideal for experienced security professionals who are passionate about protecting people and property while delivering excellent customer service in a hospitality environment.

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure atmosphere for hotel guests, employees, and visitors by monitoring the premises, responding to incidents, enforcing security procedures, and supporting hotel operations.

Key Responsibilities

As a Hotel Security Officer, your duties will include:

• Conducting regular patrols of the hotel premises to deter theft, vandalism, and other security risks.

• Monitoring hotel facilities and responding promptly to emergencies or security incidents.

• Coordinating with emergency services and law enforcement when necessary.

• Inspecting security equipment and surveillance systems to ensure they are fully operational.

• Enforcing hotel security policies, safety procedures, and emergency response protocols.

• Assisting hotel guests with enquiries while maintaining a secure and welcoming environment.

• Working closely with hotel management and staff to promote security awareness.

• Recording and reporting incidents, irregularities, and security concerns accurately.

• Supporting investigations into reported security incidents.

• Maintaining detailed security logs, reports, and documentation.

Minimum Requirements

To be considered for this role, applicants should meet the following requirements:

• Previous security experience, preferably within the hospitality industry or a similar environment.

• Valid PSIRA Registration Certificate.

• Good knowledge of security procedures, surveillance systems, and workplace safety protocols.

• Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.

• Professional appearance with a customer-focused attitude.
