Job Overview

BUCO and TimberCity are offering 29 permanent General Assistant opportunities across various branches nationwide. These positions are suitable for motivated and dependable individuals who want to establish a career in the retail and building materials sector.

Successful applicants will assist with day-to-day store and yard operations, including stock handling, customer assistance, housekeeping, and general operational support to help maintain efficient business operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist customers with collecting and loading purchased products.
• Load and unload stock, deliveries, and building materials safely.
• Organise and pack stock within the store and yard areas.
• Keep work areas, wash bays, and company vehicles clean and tidy.
• Provide assistance to suppliers and customers with general enquiries.
• Carry out wash bay and cleaning duties when required.
• Support different operational departments as needed.
• Maintain a safe, organised, and clean working environment.
• Deliver friendly and efficient customer service.
• Comply with company policies, procedures, and safety standards.

Minimum Requirements

• Grade 12 (Matric) qualification.
• Basic product knowledge will be an added advantage.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Physically fit and able to perform manual labour.
• Flexible and willing to work in different areas of the business.
