About the Roles

Employees will be responsible for supporting the smooth day-to-day running of Pick n Pay stores by assisting customers, replenishing shelves, handling stock, and maintaining clean, organised, and safe working environments.

Depending on the role, successful candidates may work in customer service, fresh food departments, merchandising, or warehouse operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide friendly and professional customer service at checkout points and service counters.
• Pack and replenish shelves to ensure products are available for customers.
• Assist with stock handling and inventory management.
• Support operations in Bakery, Butchery, Deli, Fruit & Veg, and Cheese departments.
• Maintain high merchandising and store presentation standards.
• Keep work areas clean and organised.
• Follow company policies and workplace health and safety procedures.
• Work with team members to ensure efficient store operations.
• Assist customers with product enquiries when required.

Minimum Requirements

• Grade 10 or Grade 12 qualification (depending on the position).
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Customer-focused attitude with a willingness to assist shoppers.
• Ability to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
• Physically fit for shelf packing, warehouse, and manual handling duties.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
