Job Overview

Broll Property Management is currently looking for a professional and customer-oriented Receptionist to join its team at Jabulani Mall in Soweto.

This opportunity is ideal for an organised and proactive individual with excellent communication and administrative skills who can effectively manage reception services, switchboard operations, visitor enquiries, and general office support functions.

The successful candidate will serve as the first point of contact for visitors, tenants, clients, and business partners while ensuring the reception area operates smoothly and efficiently.


About the Role

As a Receptionist, you will be responsible for creating a positive first impression by providing friendly and professional customer service. You will manage incoming calls, coordinate boardroom bookings, handle correspondence, and provide administrative support to ensure the efficient day-to-day running of the office.

The role requires excellent multitasking abilities, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining a professional working environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Welcome and assist visitors, clients, and tenants in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Operate the switchboard and direct incoming calls to the appropriate departments.
  • Take accurate messages and ensure timely communication.
  • Coordinate boardroom bookings and prepare meeting facilities.
  • Manage courier services, incoming and outgoing mail, and package deliveries.
  • Maintain reception registers, visitor logs, and monthly administrative reports.
  • Perform administrative duties including filing, typing, data capturing, and document management.
  • Ensure reception, waiting areas, and boardrooms remain clean, organised, and presentable.
  • Provide support for office administration and facilities management functions.
  • Liaise with security personnel and internal departments when necessary.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service to all visitors and stakeholders.

Minimum Requirements

  • Grade 12 (Matric) qualification.
  • Certificate in Reception or Switchboard Management will be advantageous.
  • 1–2 years’ experience in a reception or switchboard environment.
  • 1–2 years’ administrative or secretarial experience.
  • Experience coordinating boardrooms and managing visitors.
  • Computer literacy, including Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal abilities.
  • Good organisational and multitasking skills.
  • Professional appearance and excellent telephone etiquette.
  • High level of accuracy and ability to work under pressure.
