Thorburn Security Solutions is recruiting experienced and disciplined Grade B Security Officers across Gauteng.

Successful candidates will support security operations across residential estates, retail sites, corporate buildings, logistics hubs, educational facilities, mining operations, and financial institutions.

🛠️ KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

🧑‍✈️ Supervisory Duties
• Supervise and coordinate security teams on site
• Conduct briefings and assign duties to officers
• Ensure discipline and compliance with site procedures

🚪 Access Control & Monitoring
• Control entry and exit of people and vehicles
• Monitor CCTV, alarms, and security systems
• Conduct patrols and perimeter inspections

🚨 Incident & Emergency Response
• Respond quickly to emergencies and alarms
• Handle suspicious activities professionally
• Compile detailed incident and occurrence reports

🤝 Client Service & Compliance
• Provide professional service to clients and visitors
• Follow PSIRA regulations and company procedures
• Maintain confidentiality, integrity, and professionalism

🎓 MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Valid PSIRA Grade B certificate
• Grade 12 / Matric certificate
• Previous security industry experience required
• Knowledge of CCTV, alarms, and access control systems
• Strong communication and report-writing skills
• Ability to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays
• Physically fit and alert
• Computer literacy (MS Office & reporting systems)
• Driver’s licence (advantageous)
• Firearm competency (advantageous)
