Overview
South African National Parks is looking for a Driver to join the team at Mountain Zebra National Park. This role reports to the Hospitality Services Manager and includes both driving and general support duties. The successful candidate will be required to live داخل the park.
Key Responsibilities
– Follow Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) regulations
– Comply with SANParks fleet management policies and driving code of conduct
– Conduct daily vehicle inspections (before and after trips)
– Ensure vehicles are safe, clean, and roadworthy
– Transport staff, guests, and school children when required
– Perform chauffeur duties for both standard and executive transport
– Maintain fuel and oil records
– Complete logbooks, trip permits, and mileage records
– Report any vehicle defects, incidents, or accidents
– Assist with vehicle maintenance schedules and inspections
– Provide general administrative support
– Deliver professional service and share park information with visitors
– Perform general worker and ad-hoc duties when needed
Requirements
– Grade 12 (Matric)
– Valid driver’s licence with PDP (Professional Driving Permit)
– At least 2 years’ experience as a professional driver or messenger
– Occupational Health and Safety knowledge/experience
– First Aid training
Important Notes
– The salary package includes a basic salary plus allowances and benefits
– Employment will align with Employment Equity (EE) targets
– Preference will be given to South African citizens
– SANParks may choose not to fill the position
