PEP is looking for a Part-Time Sales Assistant to join their Killarney store. This role offers up to 27 working hours per week in a fast-paced retail environment.

Role Purpose
The Sales Assistant will be responsible for:
Driving sales and helping the store reach its targets Providing excellent customer service Reducing stock loss and maintaining store security Accurately handling cash transactions Assisting with stock control and inventory tasks Supporting PEP’s value-driven retail approach
This role requires a high level of honesty, responsibility, and trustworthiness, especially when dealing with cash.
Main Duties
Create a friendly, safe, and welcoming shopping environment Operate the till correctly and follow cash-handling procedures Help customers choose products and encourage additional purchases Inform customers about promotions, discounts, and new stock Provide accurate product information Maintain store cleanliness and visual merchandising standards Assist with stock ordering, receiving, and control Handle customer questions and resolve issues professionally Meet individual and team sales goals Stay informed about product updates and pricing
Minimum Requirements
Grade 12 (Matric) Experience in retail or customer service roles (e.g., cashier, sales assistant, store associate) Clear criminal record Must live within 15km of Killarney Honest and reliable, especially when handling money
Preferred Qualifications
South African citizenship Basic computer skills Strong interest in retail and customer service Age between 20 and 35 years
