via a number of development programs, we make significant investments in South Africa’s jobless youth, and via important initiatives, we promote education and training related to youth unemployment. Opportunities include the Youth Employment Services (YES) program and our Retail Readiness Program.

The Retail Readiness Programme (RRP) gives young people without prior work experience the fundamental skills they need to operate in a retail setting. After completing two weeks of theory and five weeks of practical training, successful participants are awarded a NQF level 3 qualification.

Young South Africans between the ages of 18 and 34 who have never had a job before are required. Matric or grade 12 education, or a comparable credential.

Overview of Youth Employment Services (YES): A business-led program in collaboration with government and labor departments, the Youth Employment Service creates economic opportunities for young people to aid in the reduction of unemployment. The curriculum exposes participants to several aspects of the retail industry during a 12-month on-the-job training period. Successful YES learners graduate with the skills necessary to work in retail or launch their own retail company.

South African youngsters between the ages of 18 and 34 are required. Grade 12, Matric, or a comparable degree. A certification from the Retail Readiness Program (RRP)
