Requirements

• Minimum Grade 10 (NQF 3) with 1 year of relevant work experience, or Grade 12 with no prior experience

• Ability to communicate in English and the main local language spoken in the store area

• Valid South African ID or work permit

• Basic numeracy skills

• Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays

• Ability to work efficiently under pressure

Key Responsibilities

Customer Service

• Assist customers with product selection and inquiries

• Handle and resolve customer complaints professionally

Merchandising

• Safely merchandise bulk stock according to the store layout and planograms

• Ensure your assigned area is fully stocked and visually appealing

Housekeeping

• Maintain a clutter-free environment and ensure aisles are safe for customers

• Immediately merchandise received stock

• Apply correct shelf pricing within your area

• Complete housekeeping checklists, including canteen and toilet/showers schedule

Safety (OHSA Compliance)

• Follow safety protocols and wear required safety gear

• Ensure stock and racking are safe for customers and colleagues

• Report any safety concerns to the Store Manager

Stock Loss Management

• Report damaged stock to the Store Manager promptly
