Overview

Coca-Cola Beverages South Africa is offering a 12-month Visual Merchandiser Learnership aimed at unemployed youth who want to gain practical skills in retail merchandising, customer service, and sales support.

This workplace learning programme provides hands-on experience in both direct and indirect retail outlets. Learners will work closely with the Account Developer and Sales Team to improve product visibility, maintain in-store standards, and support overall sales performance.


Key Responsibilities

In-Store Execution and Merchandising

  • Follow daily call schedules when visiting assigned retail outlets

  • Implement visual merchandising standards and product displays

  • Ensure proper stock rotation and product availability

  • Maintain product quality and visibility in line with RED merchandising standards

  • Complete iRED survey reports and execution scorecards

  • Help customers place orders using the MyCCBA platform

  • Assist with promotional campaigns and brand activation activities

  • Provide operational support when required by management


Minimum Requirements

  • Grade 12 / Matric with Mathematics or Maths Literacy (minimum 40%)

  • Grade 12 English and another language (minimum 40%)

  • Must be a South African citizen

  • Age: 18 – 35 years

  • Must be unemployed at the time of application

  • Must not be studying full-time or enrolled in another learnership

  • Must not have previously completed the same qualification

  • No criminal record or negative credit record

  • Must agree to background checks (ID, criminal, and qualification verification)

  • Must be willing to work six days per week

  • Must meet Employment Equity requirements


Advantageous

  • Valid Driver’s Licence

  • Post-Matric qualification in Sales and Marketing


Programme Information

  • 12-month structured learnership programme

  • Learners must complete a minimum of 120 credits

  • Combination of classroom learning and practical workplace training

  • Exposure to:

    • FMCG sales environments

    • Retail merchandising practices

    • Customer relationship management

    • Sales support and brand promotion
