Minimum Requirements

• NQF Level 1 (Grade 5 and above) or NQF Level 2 (ABET Level 2 Certificate or equivalent)

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Key Responsibilities

Road Workers will be involved in a variety of road maintenance and construction tasks, including:

• Constructing culverts and side drains

• Installing and maintaining steel guardrails and gabions

• Performing road earthworks and layer works

• Cleaning and maintaining roads, sidewalks, and rest areas

• Surfacing roads and patching potholes

• Installing road markings, studs, and signage

• Placing distance markers and barricades in work zones

• Conducting brush clearing, grass cutting, and fencing repairs
