Overview of the YES Initiative

The Youth Employment Service (YES) is a public-private sector initiative launched by the Presidency of South Africa to tackle the country’s high youth unemployment rate. This programme provides young South Africans with the opportunity to gain valuable workplace experience, enhancing their employability and future career prospects.

In support of the Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment (BBBEE) initiative, Eskom is proud to be a key participant in the YES Programme. Eskom is offering qualifying youth structured work opportunities that provide meaningful learning, exposure to professional environments, and practical skills development.

Programme Purpose

The YES Programme is designed to provide young people with their first formal job experience.
