Assignment Type: Temporary

Minimum Requirements:

• Grade 10 or equivalent Qualifications
• Must be Ekurhuleni resident based in communities where they will serve, i.e. Ward Based (Attach Proof of Residence)

Duties:

– Perform ward-based door-to-door surveys and education by going to a certain number of homes in a given ward.
– Educate, inform, and communicate about rodent management and other issues pertaining to environmental health.
– Pamphlet distribution
– Community members’ mobilization for block meetings and education initiatives
– Follow up on any infested properties that have been found and provide a feedback report.

– Make connections and communicate with environmental health professionals.
– Take part in educational initiatives about rodent control.
– As the direct supervisor, report to the environmental health professional.
– Meet the daily minimum goal of having each Rodent Control Ambassador inspect thirty (30) properties.
– Fill out daily attendance records for program participation that is voluntary.
