AECI: Chemical Process Operator Learnerships 2025

Duties:

To support the plant operator or operators in their work.
Follow any logical directions given by the production team leader.
To carry out ad hoc tasks.

Learnership Results: useful

-Plant operation training according to NQF 2 unit criteria.
-Take care of filling and emptying bulk containers, drums, and sacks.
-Bulk bags, raw materials, and bulk liquid chemicals are loaded and unloaded.
-General maintenance of every plant area.
-Under the guidance of a certified plant operator, operate the plant.
-Complete the necessary production and process paperwork accurately.
-After being deemed competent, independently monitor and oversee plant operations.
-working in cramped areas and at heights safely when necessary.
-Continue to be medically fit to carry out tasks in a chemical plant setting, including working in tight spaces and at heights.
-Have the ability and willingness to participate in forklift operator training.
able to perform overtime and work shifts as needed.

Requirements:

• Grade 12 with Math and Physical Science is essential
• Basic computer skills. (Data entry, basic MS Office).
• Applicant must be between the age of 18 and 25.
