Job Purpose
The primary purpose of the Shop Assistant / Cashier role is to deliver excellent customer service and ensure efficient and professional handling of transactions at the Point of Sale (POS). Successful candidates will support store operations by processing purchases accurately, assisting customers with product enquiries, promoting loyalty rewards programs, and ensuring that merchandise displays are clean, organised, and visually appealing.
Objectives of the Role

Complete all POS transactions quickly, accurately, and professionally.

Ensure accuracy when scanning items, processing clubcard rewards, and receiving payments.

Minimum Requirements
Education

Grade 12 (Matric) – Essential

Preferably achieved 50% or higher in Mathematics and English
Experience
