Job Title: Administration Clerk (Level 05) – SASSA
Position Overview
The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) invites suitably qualified, motivated, and service-driven individuals to apply for the position of Administration Clerk (Salary Level 05). The role is based at the Vredendal Local Office and focuses on delivering efficient, compliant, and high-quality administrative support to ensure uninterrupted service delivery and operational excellence in line with government regulations.
Key Performance Areas (KPAs)
Transport Administration
-
Coordinate and manage official transport logistics.
-
Process transport requests, maintain accurate transport registers, and ensure optimal utilisation of transport resources.
Human Resource Support
-
Provide end-to-end HR administrative assistance.
-
Maintain personnel records, process leave transactions, and support recruitment, selection, and onboarding processes.
General Office Administration
-
Deliver comprehensive administrative support services.
-
Manage correspondence, filing systems, telephonic and electronic enquiries.
-
Support cross-functional units with day-to-day administrative requirements.
Provisioning and Supply Chain Support
-
Administer procurement and provisioning activities.
-
Order, issue, and control office supplies in accordance with SCM policies and procedures.
Governance and Compliance
-
Ensure adherence to the Public Finance Management Act (PFMA) and all applicable legislation, policies, and prescripts.

Maintain accurate records to support audit readiness and accountability.
Minimum Requirements
-
Qualification: Senior Certificate (Grade 12 / Matric).
-
Experience: 0–1 year of relevant administrative experience.
-
Technical Skills: Computer literacy with proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and MS Office Suite.

Added Advantage: Valid driver’s licence.
