FedEx Express AMEA, a globally respected leader in express transportation and logistics, is seeking a reliable, safety-focused, and customer-oriented Courier Driver (Code 08) to join its Johannesburg Ground Operations team.
As part of the FedEx global network serving more than 220 countries and territories, this role offers the opportunity to represent one of the world’s most trusted logistics brands while ensuring the timely, secure, and accurate delivery of shipments to domestic and international customers.
Role Overview
The Courier Driver is responsible for carrying out key operational activities within the station and hub environment. Duties include on-road collections and deliveries, dispatch support, sorting, loading, and ensuring all shipments meet FedEx’s high standards for safety, quality, and efficiency.
This role requires frequent customer interaction, effective route navigation, and the ability to manage multiple deliveries while maintaining excellent service standards.
Key Responsibilities
Pick-Up and Delivery Operations

Conduct daily local and international collections and deliveries

Handle, scan, load, and deliver packages accurately and safely

Complete door-to-door deliveries in compliance with safety and traffic regulations

Deliver outstanding customer service at all times
Ground Operations Support

Assist with station and hub activities such as sorting, packing, loading, dispatch, and ramp operations

Ensure all operational tasks support FedEx’s service commitments
Safety, Compliance, and Quality

Adhere to all FedEx policies, procedures, and local regulations

Perform daily vehicle inspections and report faults

Maintain vehicle cleanliness and roadworthiness

Follow correct package-handling procedures to prevent loss or damage
Customer Service

Act as a professional ambassador for the FedEx brand

Communicate delivery updates and resolve issues efficiently

Minimum Requirements

Valid Code 08 driver’s license

Knowledge of Johannesburg routes (advantageous)
