Position Overview
Sasol is seeking a dedicated Administrative Clerk to join the Secunda team. This role provides essential administrative support to ensure smooth daily operations and effective workflow management. The Administrative Clerk will manage a variety of tasks, including documentation, scheduling, data capturing, and stakeholder communication, while serving as a key point of contact for team members, clients, and visitors.
Key Responsibilities
Administrative & Office Support

Handle inquiries and provide administrative assistance to internal and external stakeholders

Maintain a professional, organized office environment

Support day-to-day office operations and scheduling
Meeting Coordination & Minute Taking

Schedule meetings, prepare materials, and attend as required

Record accurate minutes and track follow-up actions
Facility & Resource Management
-
Book meeting rooms and ensure spaces are equipped and ready
Calendar Management

Maintain team schedules, deadlines, and prevent scheduling conflicts
Travel & Logistics
-
Arrange travel for team members, including flights, transport, and accommodation

Prepare detailed itineraries
Event & Function Planning

Organize conferences, workshops, and internal/external events

Coordinate logistics, catering, and equipment
Office Supplies & Procurement
-
Manage office supplies and equipment, monitor stock, and place orders
Document Preparation & Management

Draft, format, and distribute reports, letters, memos, and presentations
Filing & Record Keeping

Maintain physical and electronic filing systems, ensuring confidentiality
Communication & Client Interaction

Answer calls, handle inquiries, and welcome visitors
Data Capturing & Reporting

Capture, reconcile, and report operational and administrative data accurately
Mail & Document Handling

Process incoming/outgoing mail, retrieve and distribute documents
Financial Administration Support

Monitor expenditures, assist with invoices, budget tracking, and financial documentation
Compliance & Service Delivery

Follow service level agreements (SLAs) and internal procedures

Maintain professional standards in all administrative tasks
Qualifications & Experience
Minimum Requirements

National Senior Certificate (Grade 12) or N3 qualification
-
Minimum 1 year of relevant administrative experience
