Minimum Requirements

• Grade 8 / ABET Level 2 or an equivalent qualification

• Basic literacy and numeracy skills

• Ability to read and write

• Basic knowledge of security services

• Good communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to compile simple reports

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidates will be responsible for:

• Carrying out routine manual farming and operational duties

• Managing and controlling the movement of cloven-hoofed animals

• Stopping, registering, and searching vehicles within designated redline areas

• Inspecting and confiscating prohibited goods where necessary

• Opening and closing access gates as required

• Conducting patrols along boundary fences and performing minor repairs

• Tracking animal movements along the redline fence

• Clearing vegetation along fence lines

• Monitoring quarantined animals and verifying permits

• Maintaining accurate records of permits, quarantined livestock, and vehicle movements
