Introduction:

Dis-Chem Pharmacies, South Africa’s leading pharmacy group, is proud to launch the Cosmetics Retail Learnership Programme, an exciting opportunity designed for young, vibrant individuals who are passionate about beauty, cosmetics, and customer service. This programme is offered across selected branches nationwide and is tailored to equip participants with the core retail and customer service skills required in the fast-paced cosmetics and beauty industry.

This learnership is a structured, work-based programme that combines theoretical training with practical, on-the-job experience. It is an ideal opportunity for school leavers and unemployed youth who wish to gain recognized retail experience and build a solid foundation in cosmetics sales and merchandising, while earning a stipend.

Programme Objective:

The Dis-Chem Cosmetics Retail Learnership aims to develop learners into confident, customer-focused sales professionals. Learners will be trained in key areas including merchandising, stock control, product knowledge, health & beauty promotion, sales techniques, and service excellence.

Upon successful completion of the programme, learners will be better positioned for potential permanent roles within the Dis-Chem group or in other retail environments. The programme also supports the national goal of addressing youth unemployment through skills development.
