Programme Overview
The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA), a government entity responsible for managing social assistance programmes in South Africa, invites applications from TVET College learners nationwide for the 2026 Head Office Work Integrated Learning Programme.
This initiative aims to provide structured workplace-based training to learners who have completed their N6 National Certificate and require practical experience to obtain their full qualification. Participants will gain hands-on exposure in a professional government setting while supporting the delivery of essential public services.

Minimum Eligibility Requirements
Applicants must:

Have completed an N6 National Certificate

Require 6–18 months of workplace experience to finalise qualification requirements

Be South African citizens
-
Be currently unemployed

Submit a letter from their institution confirming the need for Work Integrated Learning
Internship Conditions and Benefits
Successful applicants will be appointed on a fixed-term Work Integrated Learning contract for a duration of 6 to 18 months, depending on institutional requirements. Interns will receive a monthly stipend of R5 639.75 for the duration of the programme. The internship provides structured training and meaningful work exposure within a government environment.
