Remuneration

Job Overview

First National Bank (FNB) is seeking motivated, disciplined, and customer-focused individuals to join its Alternative Channels team as Community Advisors. Successful candidates will be based at selected Pick n Pay store locations and will work on a shift schedule.

The primary purpose of this role is to engage with customers, promote FNB banking solutions, and deliver exceptional service while representing the FNB brand within local communities. Community Advisors serve as brand ambassadors, assisting customers with financial products and guiding them toward suitable banking platforms that meet their needs.


Minimum Requirements

Applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • South African citizenship

  • Matric or equivalent qualification (NQF Level 4) or higher

  • Willingness and availability to work shifts

  • Ability to interact with customers in a professional and courteous manner


Additional Requirements

  • 1–2 years of experience in customer service or client support will be an advantage

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • High attention to detail and ability to follow established processes

  • Demonstrated ethical behaviour and accountability


Key Responsibilities / Core Functions

  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with customers

  • Deliver a positive and consistent customer experience

  • Educate customers on relevant banking products, services, and digital platforms

  • Assess customer needs and recommend appropriate financial solutions

  • Achieve sales targets through integrated and needs-based offerings

  • Ensure compliance with all banking policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements

  • Represent the FNB brand by consistently living the promise, “How can we help you?”

  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of banking products and industry developments
