Job Description

As a Sales Associate / Shop Assistant, you will act as a brand representative and ambassador for your assigned TFG brand. Your primary responsibility will be to provide outstanding customer service while actively driving sales and maintaining high store standards. The role involves working with a wide range of products, including apparel, footwear, accessories, and home décor, depending on the store brand.

You will engage with customers to understand their needs, offer suitable product solutions, and ensure a positive shopping experience. In addition, you will contribute to achieving sales targets, maintaining store presentation, and building strong customer relationships that promote brand loyalty.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service by identifying customer needs and recommending appropriate products

• Achieve and exceed daily, weekly, and monthly sales targets

• Ensure merchandise is well-stocked, organised, and visually appealing

• Maintain high standards of store cleanliness and presentation

• Stay informed about current fashion, lifestyle, and décor trends relevant to the brand

• Effectively manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced retail environment

• Build and maintain positive, long-term relationships with customers

• Support team members and contribute to a collaborative store environment

Minimum Requirements

• Grade 12 / Matric qualification (essential)

• Previous experience in retail or customer service will be an advantage

• Strong sales orientation with a passion for customer interaction

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Ability to multitask, work under pressure, and manage time effectively

• Self-motivated, proactive, and detail-oriented

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
