Programme Overview

This internship programme focuses on providing psychological support and trauma counselling services within SAPS. Interns will assist with mental health programmes and contribute to Employee Health and Wellness (EHW) initiatives aimed at supporting SAPS members and their families.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct organisational diagnostic assessments

• Implement and facilitate mental health programmes

• Provide counselling and trauma debriefing services

• Plan and coordinate Employee Health and Wellness projects and activities

• Offer support services to SAPS members and their families

Requirements

• Honours Degree in Psychology or B Psych Degree in Psychology

• Registration with the HPCSA as a Psychometrist or Registered Counsellor

• Valid 2025/2026 proof of HPCSA registration

• Must be a South African citizen aged 18–35

• Must be unemployed

• No criminal record
