Overview

Shoprite Group is looking for a motivated and customer-focused individual to join its Money Market Account (MMA) team as a Roaming Agent. This role offers an opportunity for a results-driven sales professional to promote Shoprite’s financial services products across various branches.

The successful candidate will focus on increasing Money Market Account registrations by engaging with customers inside stores and within surrounding communities.


Job Description

As a Money Market Account Roaming Agent, you will travel between different Shoprite branches to promote the Shoprite Money Market Account (MMA). Your role will include educating customers about the benefits of the platform, such as saving, transferring funds, and making payments easily.

You will act as a brand ambassador, assisting customers with account registrations, onboarding processes, and resolving any product-related issues. This position requires strong communication skills, independence, and the ability to meet sales targets in a fast-paced environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Promote and sell the Shoprite Money Market Account to both new and existing customers

  • Consistently achieve individual and team sales targets

  • Engage customers through outreach activities both inside and outside store locations

  • Record leads, sales, and follow-ups using digital tools and CRM systems

  • Participate in promotional events and marketing activations to increase brand awareness

  • Maintain strong knowledge of the product and communicate benefits clearly to customers

  • Provide excellent customer service and professionally handle customer queries

  • Share insights and ideas that could improve marketing strategies and product performance


Minimum Requirements

  • Grade 12 / Matric certificate (essential)

  • At least 2 years of sales experience, preferably in retail, banking, or insurance

  • Proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets

  • Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills

  • Comfortable using technology and CRM platforms such as Monday.com

  • Must own a smartphone for daily communication and reporting

  • Willingness to travel and work weekends when required

  • Self-driven and able to adapt to a dynamic work environment
