Electronic Communications Act (Act 36 of 2005)

Public Service Act, 1994 and Public Service Regulations (2016)

Good organisational and planning skills

Strong communication abilities

Problem-solving and time-management skills

Attention to detail and data-capturing ability

Familiarity with office equipment and administrative technologies
Key Responsibilities

Open, close, audit, and track official files according to departmental policies

Issue and receive files from HRM and other units
-
Search for and retrieve files when requested

Record outgoing files in the control register
-
Receive and dispatch courier letters and parcels
-
Update registers for incoming and outgoing courier deliveries

Handle courier enquiries on behalf of department officials

Act as a liaison between the department and courier companies

Sort, stamp, and distribute incoming mail

Frank and dispatch outgoing mail

Register incoming registered mail items
