Position: Social Grant Administrator (16 Posts)

Position Overview

The Social Grant Administrator is responsible for managing and processing social grant applications at local offices of the South African Social Security Agency. The role involves assisting applicants, verifying submitted information, and ensuring that applications are captured and processed correctly.

The successful candidate will also provide support to the office through administrative duties while ensuring that all processes comply with relevant government policies and legislation.


Minimum Requirements

  • Matric / Senior Certificate or equivalent (NQF Level 4)

  • Higher qualification (NQF Level 6)

Preferred Requirements

  • Valid driver’s license

  • Previous experience in an administrative or clerical role


Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the administration of social grants at the local office

  • Screen and process grant applications from applicants

  • Capture grant application information accurately in the system

  • Provide professional customer service to beneficiaries

  • Manage and organise grant-related documents and records

  • Conduct quality checks on submitted applications

  • Ensure compliance with the Public Finance Management Act (PFMA), Section 57


Important Information
