About the Role

Capitec Bank is searching for driven, confident, and client-focused individuals to join its growing team as Business Bankers in the Merchant Services division. This is a strategic sales position aimed at growing Capitec’s merchant network by helping small and medium-sized businesses access innovative, cost-effective payment solutions.

You’ll work closely with business owners, identifying their unique payment needs and providing tailored financial products to support their operations. This is a perfect role for someone with a passion for business development, sales, and client engagement.


🔑 Key Responsibilities

-Identify and acquire new business clients needing merchant and POS solutions.

-Promote and sell payment services including card machines, merchant accounts, and digital payment platforms.

-Build lasting relationships with SME clients by offering relevant, needs-based banking solutions.

-Present and pitch Capitec’s acquiring services to potential clients at various levels.

-Meet individual and team sales targets consistently.

-Stay up to date with market trends, competitor offerings, and client needs.

-Maintain strong after-sales relationships and provide continued support to existing clients.


🎓 Minimum Requirements

-Grade 12 / Matric Certificate

-At least 2–3 years of sales experience (preferably external B2B or financial services)

-Clear criminal record

-Valid South African driver’s license

-Own, reliable vehicle


🎯 Preferred Qualifications & Experience

-A tertiary qualification in Marketing, Business, or a related field

-Direct experience with point-of-sale (POS) or payment platforms

-Familiarity with small business operations and the commercial banking landscape

-Previous experience in cross-selling financial products or value-added services

-Understanding of SME client needs and risk considerations
