Job Purpose
The Administrative Officer will provide internal and external office accommodation services to municipal client departments. Key responsibilities include administrative support, coordination of office space, property data management, monitoring accommodation requirements, and assisting with operational activities within the Office Accommodation and Operations Subsection.
The role contributes to ensuring that municipal departments are adequately accommodated and supported in line with the City’s property and facilities standards.

Minimum Requirements
1. Educational Requirements

Grade 12 / Matric certificate
-
Additional administrative or property-related qualifications will be an advantage
2. Experience
-
A minimum of six (6) months’ relevant experience in areas such as:

Property management
-
Facilities management
-
Office accommodation services
-
Built environment administration
-
3. Additional Criteria
-
Valid Code B driver’s licence
-
Physically fit and capable of conducting site inspections
-
Computer literacy and ability to work on electronic systems
-
Willingness to undergo a criminal record check
-
Prepared to have fingerprints taken by Tshwane Metro Police (at own cost)

Ability to work both indoors and outdoors across Tshwane regions

Availability to work standby, overtime, or extended hours when required

1. Office Accommodation Services

Provide accommodation services to internal and external municipal clients

Support office space and parking allocations

Implement accommodation-related instructions from supervisors
2. Site Inspections

Conduct on-site inspections of municipal properties

Assess accommodation suitability and building conditions

Report findings to supervisors and stakeholders
3. Data Capture and Administration

Capture and update property information on municipal systems

Maintain accurate property and accommodation records

Support compliance and reporting processes
4. Research and Client Support

Conduct property-related research as required

Assist departments with queries and information requests

Prepare and distribute official documentation
5. Project and Operational Support

Provide administrative assistance for facilities and accommodation projects

Track project documentation, progress, and timelines

Assist with logistics and operational planning
6. Meeting Administration
