1. Principal Messenger

Directorate: Knowledge and Information Management
Location: Cape Town
This role includes supervising messenger and registry operations while ensuring accurate delivery and tracking of documents and parcels.
Requirements:

Supervisory and registry experience (advantageous)

Ability to communicate in at least two of the three official languages of the Western Cape
2. Messenger

Directorate: Service Benefits
Location: Cape Town
Responsible for collecting, delivering, and recording documents, files, and parcels between offices.
Requirements:

Registry experience and computer literacy (advantageous)

3. Driver (Light Duty Vehicle)
Post: 06/380
Location: Saldanha PHC, West Coast District
This position involves transporting medication, goods, equipment, and staff.
Requirements:

Basic literacy and numeracy skills

Code B/EB driver’s licence

Valid PDP
-
Physically fit and capable of lifting heavy items

Experience transporting personnel and goods
4. Driver (Support Services)
Post: 06/381
Location: Karl Bremer Hospital
This hospital-based position includes transporting goods and personnel, as well as supporting vehicle administration duties.
Requirements:

Basic literacy and numeracy skills
-
Code B or EB driver’s licence
-
Hospital driving experience (advantageous)
-
Willingness to work shifts, overtime, and standby
-
Access to secure parking
Key Duties
Depending on the post, responsibilities may include:
-
Delivering and collecting documents, parcels, and records
-
Maintaining registers and electronic tracking systems
-
Supervising registry staff (Principal Messenger)
-
Transporting equipment, goods, and personnel
-
Completing vehicle logbooks
-
Conducting routine vehicle checks and minor maintenance
-
Assisting with basic administrative functions
