Minimum Requirements

Grade 8 / ABET Level 2 or an equivalent qualification

Basic literacy and numeracy skills

Basic knowledge of security-related duties

Ability to complete basic reports and maintain records
Core Responsibilities
-
Carry out routine manual farming duties
-
Manage and control the movement of cloven-hoofed livestock
-
Stop, register, and inspect vehicles entering the redline area
-
Check for and confiscate restricted or prohibited products
-
Open and close gates when required
-
Conduct patrols along fences and perform minor fence repairs
-
Track animal movements along the redline fence
-
Clear vegetation and bushes along fence lines
-
Monitor quarantined animals and verify permits
-
Maintain records and registers for permits, quarantined animals, and vehicle movements
